Most fitness apps want an account, a subscription and your attention. FitLog is the simple way to train and see your whole day in one place: log a set in one tap, follow a plan that fits your week, and keep steps, sleep, weight and water next to your workouts, with nothing leaving the phone.
How it was built
One Flutter codebase for Android and iOS, with a native SwiftUI app on Apple Watch and a Wear OS companion so a workout can be started, ticked off and timed from the wrist. Steps, distance, active minutes, sleep and heart rate are read from Apple Health or Health Connect only with permission. Everything lives in an on-device database with optional backups to a folder you control; there is no server, no analytics and no account. A home-screen widget and an iOS Live Activity keep the current set and rest timer visible without opening the app.
What it does
- 01Log sets in one tap: weights and reps carry over, a rest timer buzzes even with the app closed, and FitLog suggests when to add weight
- 02A weekly plan from four questions, or your own routines from 1,300+ exercises, each with an animation
- 03Steps, calories, sleep and resting heart rate from Apple Health or Health Connect, plus walks, runs, rides and swims
- 04Body weight with a 7-day average, water, mood and energy, measurements and progress photos
- 05Progress, records, streaks and a calendar of every workout
- 06Companion watch app for Apple Watch and Wear OS: start a workout, tick sets, adjust weight and reps, run the rest timer
- 07Home-screen widget and an iOS Live Activity for the set and rest timer in progress
- 08Private by design: no account, data on-device with optional backups, works offline, 18 languages
What I took from it
A watch app is not a smaller phone app. The wrist wants three actions, big targets and no reading, which pushed the phone design to get simpler too.
